Sue Howley was born in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales. After studying at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she studied composition with Mervyn Birch, Sue moved to Pembrokeshire where she has worked as a composer, singer, accompanist and teacher.

Amongst the collaborators are Caroline Jones – recorder, Stephen Hamnett, Jacqui Weatherburn, Touch and Go and Merlin Theatre Companies.
